René Breitbarth
Cologne's René Breitbarth was first brought over to Techno in the
early 90's at places like the legendary Space Club and the Warehouse.
As a consequence thereof, he soon makes his first steps in music
production and DJ'ing, and puts out several white labels which he
sells to the local record shops. In 1997 he finally founds the label
Treibstoff, along with Marcel Janovsky, where he is still the most
important artist, having released over ten 12"es and the two albums "Solar" and "With a little luck". Apart from that René's music can be
found on labels like Sub Static, Spectral, Regular, Tongut, Poker
Flat, Shayan, Disco Inc. and Plastic City.
From the very start René Breitbarth soon earns a good reputation in
Cologne, as a House purist with a fun approach, and with an
increasing number of releases and international bookings, as a true
peaktime act with a broad range of cutting-edge dance music. In 2004,
in connection with his 2nd album "With a little luck", René has his
first of many appearances as a live act, and again he achieves full
score with the dancers.
In the meantime René Breitbarth left his Rhenish homebase direction
Berlin, busily working on new releases and remixes with new-found inspiration.
